BIMCRUNCH Spring '26 is here: read our new edition today!

With the clocks going forward and the days getting longer, spring is a natural moment to look ahead with a sense of optimism and fresh purpose.

Already a quarter of the way through 2026, the pace of change across the built environment is quickening. Manufacturers are shifting towards greater accountability, navigating compliance while prioritising safety and environmental performance.

This Spring Edition of BIMCRUNCH celebrates this new way of thinking, exploring material innovation and evolving approaches to compliance through topics such as fire-stopping and low-carbon heating systems. We also close the first quarter with the news that Bimstore’s parent company has been recertified as a B Corp organisation, reinforcing our collective commitment to responsible practice..

Highlights in this edition include Ibstock's 'New Era in Ceramic Façade Manufacturing', Siderise's collaboration to deliver passive fire and acoustic solutions in Birmingham, and Ideal Heating's low-carbon heating solution for a listed student accommodation in Cambridge. Also featured are Polypipe with their PolyPlumb® Enhanced Systems, Albion Valves on pressure reducing valve considerations, wienerberger's insight into the Building Safety Act and cost of compliance, and Glidevale Protect, with the launch of their Flat Interlocking Tile Ventilator.

Thousands of miles away, Australia is entering its own season of change, with its BIM industry continuing to grow as digital adoption in construction rose by 20% in 2025. Bimstore hosts a wide range of Australian manufacturers, including those featured in this edition: Schweigen with its Silent Rangehoods, Heka Hoods with powder-coated sun hoods, and Christie Barbecues, who continue to raise standards in inclusive public spaces.

This edition also includes three feature articles: From Steel Beams to Smart Models, as featured in MCRMA's Metal Matters Magazine; Inside the Design Workflow; and a brief comment on our B Corp Recertification.

Bringing together all this diverse content into one accessible magazine, we present BIMCRUNCH Spring '26.

We hope you enjoy the read.
