Stelrad Case Study: Redcliffe Project Student Accommodation

Stelrad Radiators has supplied more than sixty of its quality assured Elite and LST radiators for a new student accommodation development in the classic Redcliffe area of the city centre of Bristol.

The building in the Redcliffe Quarter is a purpose-built student accommodation block aimed at students attending Bristol University, built by Winvic, for its client Madison Cairn. The architect is ECE Westworks and the building was completed in early 2025 to an active BREAM excellent rating. The main contractor for the building was Bouygues and the radiators were specified and installed by M&E contractor Smith Brothers of Leicester.

The scheme consists of three seven bed cluster rooms, 16 six bed cluster rooms, 22 ‘twodios’, 187 studios and 19 adaptable rooms. The development includes 4,500 sq. ft of flexible communal spaces, ancillary accommodation and storage for 184 cycles can also be found on the ground floor. The accommodation is conveniently located for the university campus and is just a nine-minute walk from Temple Meads train station.

In addition, modern radiators from Stelrad are available in a range of sizes and shapes and in up to 55 different standard RAL colours – making radiators an attractive part of the room décor – not just a part of the heating system.
