FIREFLY Span is a sandwich of graphite intumescent and foam strips, sold in 1m lengths of various thickness to accommodate linear gaps of up to 100mm wide x infinite length. Available in three sizes FIREFLYSpan 50 for movement of 25mm to 50mm, FIREFLYSpan 75 for movement of 35mm to 75mm and FIREFLYSpan 100 for movement of 51mm to 100mm.

Applications

Used to provide vertical and horizontal fire rated linear gap seals that can accommodate a wide range of movement, and can be of infinite length. Usages include head of wall horizontal expansion/control joint; body of wall verticle expansion/control joint - compression dry fit; floor slab expansion/control joint - compression and glue fit with FIREFLYMastic; to extend floor slab compartmentation fire resistance level out to the perimeter of the building (slab edge to back of non fire resistant external cladding) - compression and glue fit with FIREFLYMastic and mechanical fix required.
